CST Certified Scrub Tech
The Technician accepts responsibility and is accountable for assisting in the operating room as a scrub technician functioning as a member of the sterile team. He/she may assist in the nursing care and preparation of surgical patients. The ages of the patients normally served are pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Takes surgical call and OB call.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma, graduated from an accredited certified scrub technician program. Employee must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 30 days of hire date and maintain continuous certification throughout their employment. Failure to maintain certification may result in corrective action.
DIRECTLY ACCOUNTABLE TO: Nurse Director/Charge Nurse of assigned case.
GENERAL DUTIES/ This position does require participation in the on-call rotation for the Hospital OR.
