Performs under the supervision of the Emergency Department Director, and Charge Nurse. Responsible for providing direct patient care and assigned procedures for all ED patients based on age specific needs. Assist with answering phones and other clerical duties, assist with vital signs, rounding on patients in the waiting room and other duties as assigned to help improve patient flow through the Emergency Department. Must work well under pressure. Understand that patient safety and satisfaction is a top priority for Henry County Medical Center. Must abide by all Henry County Medical Center policies and procedures. Must contribute to a positive work environment and the overall team effort of the department. Must maintain all competencies and education as assigned by the Henry County Medical Center Education Department
Qualifications
EDUCATION & TRAINING: High school diploma or the equivalent is required. Patient Care Tech certification preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Must maintain yearly competencies and do all assigned education related to job duties. Ability to get along with all levels of personnel and the public. Must be able to keep confidences, present a professional appearance, and have good interpersonal skills.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATION: BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment and maintained throughout time of employment.
