Description
Carries out daily duties as assigned in the department. Reports to the Department Director or Lead Person. Performs routine assigned duties in a timely manner and according to specific detailed written procedures. Must be capable of independent decision making during emergency or unusual situations. Must comprehend oral/written communications well enough to follow instructions and communicate effectively with all departments throughout the facility. Assumes responsibilities and accountability for own practice in keeping with Henry County Healthcare Centers policies and procedures. Attend and participate in continuing education programs per facility/departmental policies.
Qualifications
EDUCATION & TRAINING: High School Diploma
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred. Must have training in cost control, food management, diet therapy, personnel management, ect.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATION: Certified Dietary Manager or successful completion of Manager examination per Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals within 2 years of employment. Food Safety Manager certification per state recommendations, within 6 months of hire date and is completing the Certified Dietary Manager course.
