EDUCATION & TRAINING: LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
Current LPN licensed in Tennessee, KY or as appropriate through the compact state licensure criteria/qualifications
EXPERIENCE:
Basic Life Support (BLS): All Clinical LPNs
Employee must obtain Basic Life support (BLS) Certification within 30 days of hire date and maintain continuous certification throughout their employment. Failure to maintain certification may result in corrective action.
CPI Training: Emergency Department LPNs, Behavioral Health Service areas LPNs,
Employee is preferred Crisis Prevention Institute Training within 12 months of hire and then maintain continuous readiness with renewal every 2 years throughout their employment. Failure to maintain certification may result in corrective action
Qualifications
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) assumes responsibility and accountability for practical nursing duties performed for a specified group of patients within a designated time period in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act and Henry County Medical Center policies under the direct supervision of an RN or MD. The ages of the patients normally served are pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. He/she may assist in the nursing care and preparation of surgical patients.
