Description
The Nurse Intern performs and assumes responsibility for non-professional Nursing duties in the direct care of patients within a designated time frame under the direct supervision of an RN in accordance with established Henry County Medical Center policies. The ages of the patients normally served are neonates, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Exceptions include no neonates in surgery and no neonates, pediatric or adolescents’ patients in psychiatry
Qualifications
EDUCATION & TRAINING:
Has completed nursing fundamentals course in a school of nursing while actively pursuing a nursing degree. Is within 12 months of graduation from program.

LICENSES & CERTIFICATION:
Employee must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 30 days of hire date and maintain continuous certification throughout their employment. Failure to maintain certification may result in corrective action.
