GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
The individual in this position is responsible for performing intermediate technical and clerical work, in a fast-paced environment, involving organizing, developing, executing, and monitoring strategic recruitment opportunities to maintain a pool of qualified professionals. Summer work is required.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
- Serves as the central point-of-contact for applicants and prospective staff.
- Assists with analyzing hiring, retention, and termination trend data to identify future hiring needs in order to develop and implement a recruitment strategy meeting school needs.
- Establishes and maintains strong, positive working relationships with hiring managers, community partners, colleges, and universities.
- Develops, implements, and manages recruitment data collection systems.
- Provides training and support to hiring managers and candidates on applicant tracking systems.
- Assists with both short and long-range planning and implementation for the improvement of the recruitment and retention strategic plan and processes.
- Utilizes human resources technology and information systems.
- Establishes outreach and communication protocols and procedures to engage new teachers and other staff.
- Utilizes social media and other virtual mediums as part of a recruitment plan.
- Organizes, coordinates, and manages all internal and external job fairs and recruitment opportunities.
- Conducts pre-screening interviews and establishes initial contact with candidates at recruitment events.
- Develops wellness programs and initiatives to support retention.
- Collaborates with the curriculum department for student placement, including background checks.
- Develops supporting materials to communicate the employment brand.
- Designs materials and videos to include recruitment marketing materials, recognition programs, visual presentations, training videos, and other materials as needed.
- Promotes and manages various programs supporting alternative routes to licensure.
Additional Duties:
- Performs other related work as required.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND TRAINING
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school. Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred. A minimum of three to five years of proven experience as a recruiter or human resources experience preferred. Extensive experience with establishing and maintaining relationships with outside and partner organizations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS REQUIRED
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources.
- Knowledge of human resources information systems, knowledge of employee benefits.
- Knowledge of licensure requirements.
- Knowledge of business practices applicable to confidentiality and HIPAA.
- Skill in effective communication, both verbally and in writing.
- Skill in the use of computers for data entry, word processing, and/or accounting purposes.
- Ability to plan and manage own work.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with applicants, community partners, school officials, employees, and the general public.

Special Requirements:
Ability to work extended hours, including evening/weekend meetings and recruitment events during recruitment and hiring season.

The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions.
