The Individual Student Alternative Education Plan (ISAEP) program is designed for students who are at least 16 years of age and enrolled in high school programs who may have more opportunities for academic success in an alternative setting versus a regular classroom environment. The Part-Time ISAEP Coordinator is a part-time, hourly position working twelve (12) hours per week with students at the Center for Community Learning (CCL).
JOB TITLE: Part-Time ISAEP Coordinator
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director of Community Learning
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Under the supervision of the Director of Community Learning, the Individual Student Alternative Education Plan (ISAEP) Coordinator is responsible for students who are at least 16 years of age and enrolled in high school programs who are having difficulty finding success in the regular classroom environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Facilitates instruction that is focused on the four components of GED testing.
- Monitors student progress towards completing al components of the ISAEP program.
- Schedules GED readiness tests and GED tests for students.
- Assigns student account information for various web-based programs that students use in preparation for the program.
- Collaborates with the Director of Community Learning to ensure students qualify for the ISAEP program.
- Creates opportunities for students to gain knowledge about career options.
- Works closely with the counseling staff at the local high schools.
- Creates a learning environment that allows each ISAEP student the best opportunity to complete the program.
- Performs other duties as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree is required. Teaching experience preferred.
