Essential Duties
- Lead students in small group exercises to reinforce instruction and co-teach lesson components as assigned by the teacher.
- Monitor and supervise students and provide academic, emotional, and physical support as necessary.
- Assist with preparation of materials for instruction, including the copying/duplicating of materials, construction of display/bulletin boards, learning centers and manipulatives.
- Perform necessary clerical tasks as required.
- Check students in every morning. Collect any parent communication and send to office. Collect and organize any money that is sent in for ice cream, fundraisers, pictures, etc. and send to bookkeeper.
- Participate in lesson planning sessions and communicating with parents and school officials.
- Maintain integrity of confidential information related to students and staff.
- Provide exceptional customer service on a daily basis and maintain professional practices.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Para I - minimum of a High School Diploma or state-approved High School Equivalency (HSE), required. Para II - minimum of 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours of college credit above the remedial level from a GaPSC-accepted accredited institution with the grade of "C" or higher.
- Must maintain a Georgia Paraprofessional License issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC).

- Ability to abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.
- Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work.
- Ability to be present at the physical worksite.
- Must perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting.
- Must perform routine physical activities such as bending and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to properly and consistently supervise students, particularly during emergency situations.
- Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.
