Reporting to the CDM Manager, the Senior CDM Analyst is responsible for supporting and maintaining the Charge Description Master (CDM), including being responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the CDM. Areas of responsibility include participating in the overall design, implementation, training, documentation, operation and support of Clinical or Business applications and reports. Serves as a CDM Subject Matter Expert (SME) for HFHS. Educates clinical end users on appropriate selection of charges from the CDM. Participates in development of CDM policies and procedures. May provide technical CDM guidance and training to new CDM team members.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Associates Degree Required,
- Bachelors Degree Preferred.
- Coding certification (CPC, COC, CCA, CCS, RHIT) Required or must be obtained within 12 months of start date.
- 1-2 years of experience working with a hospital charge description master and excellent understanding of relationship between the charge master and coding, billing and compliance.
- EPIC certification in CDM Management. If not EPIC certified, must obtain certification within 6 months of start date.
- Billing experience (professional and/or hospital) preferred.
- Clinical experience including RN, NP, RT, etc. a plus.
- Preferred technical experience includes:
- Strong knowledge of state-of-the-art engineering approaches in design, build, testing, debugging problems, and ongoing technical support.
