GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under supervision, assists the Supervisor - Bioresources and Leader - Bioresources in providing skilled husbandry and associated animal care services to laboratory animals used in research. Under supervision, acts as a resource for scientific and organizational matters related to the breeding of rodents. Under minimal supervision, performs a variety of routine tasks incident to the care, feeding, and maintenance of various breeding colonies.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Associates Degree or higher in related field with two (2) years of related animal
experience.
OR
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. with three (3) years of related animal experience.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
• AALAS LAT certification required within six (6) months of eligibility.
• Possession and maintenance of a valid Michigan vehicle operator's license and
satisfactory driving records.
