GENERAL SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Vice President of Value Based Care Finance, the Mosaic CIN Finance Director oversees the financial operations, reporting and financial management of value-based contracts, the Mosaic Clinically Integrated Network (Mosaic CIN), and Mosaic Accountable Care Organization (ACO). This role will have a dotted line to the Mosaic CIN Chief Administrative Officer.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accountable for the monthly financial reporting process to ensure leadership receives timely and accurate data. Provides explanation of variances and advises management as to the areas of significant variance from plan. Prepares reports for leadership, boards and finance committees.
- Directs the annual budget process for assigned Business Unit as well as short- and long-term financial forecasting and ensures consistency with HFHS system guidance.
- Collaborates and partners with HFHS Strategic Planning in the development and support of short- and long-term strategic plans for assigned Business Unit.
- Provides financial leadership and operational support relative to the implementation of business opportunities, challenges and risks, including financial analysis, critical review of programs and services and relevant capital expenditures.
- Collaborates and partners with service line/department leaders on business plans to help achieve financial performance goals.
- Develops business plans to determine financial viability and to ensure that financial resources are optimized, and short and long-term goals are achieved.
- Oversees expense management reporting to help monitor expenses against budget while working with operational leaders to help identify expense savings opportunities.
- Monitors financial systems to ensure data integrity and proactively identifies opportunities to improve processes and increase value of financial activities.
- Manages and completes special projects and serves on various committees as assigned.
- Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations, the Corporate Compliance Program, Code of Ethics, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical and professional behavior.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Approximately 7 years progressively more responsible work-related experience required.
- Minimum 3 years of healthcare finance experience required.
- Prior management or supervisory experience required.
- Excellent ability to communicate financial information to a variety of audiences including leadership.
- Strong financial acumen specific to budgets, forecasting and decision analysis.
- Prior experience leading finance for a Clinically Integrated Network is highly preferred.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's Degree is required with a preferred emphasis in Finance or Accounting. Master's Degree preferred.
