Join Henry Ford Health as a Pharmacy Intern, we are seeking skilled candidates who are currently pursuing a pharmacy degree, preferably in their P1 or P2 years.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Location: Novi, MI
Shift: Contingent Rotating Shift - Day and Afternoon shifts with occasional Midnights; every other weekend; rotating holidays.
Perform the duties of a staff pharmacist under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. - Under direct supervision, maintain proper narcotic documentation and ensure proper distribution of narcotic medications. - Under direct supervision, ensure appropriate selection of dosing, administering and monitoring of medication. -
PRINCIPLE DUTIES/ RESPONSBILTIES:
- Dispense medications accurately for delivery to patient care areas.
- May compound medications.
- Assist pharmacists with maintaining and monitoring patient profiles.
- Provide medication information and education to medical staff and patients.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- -OR- Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Registered Pharmacy Intern
- Pharmacist-Ed Ltd-5 preferred
