GENERAL SUMMARY:
- Under minimal supervision, facilitates the transfer of patients to Henry Ford Health in a safe, successful and efficient manner. Coordinates all aspects of patient transfers.
- Utilizes clinical expertise to prioritize patient transfers based upon urgency/acuity, mode of transportation (ground or air), transfer care, quality assessment, etc.
- Evaluates and coordinates the flow process of taking calls and facilitating the acceptance/triage of calls throughout the transfer center.
- May perform the duties and responsibilities of the Bed Management RN.

• Shift: Day Shifts
• Every other weekend and Holiday Rotations

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
- Two (2) years of RN clinical experience required.
- Experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate clinical information and interact effectively with physicians and staff to achieve quality outcomes required.
- Demonstrated ability to work in high-stress, high-acuity setting, adaptable to rapidly changing work environment and to direct and control multiple critical communication events simultaneously required.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Current license to practice in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse.
