The hospital’s specialty care includes nationally recognized heart care, Level II trauma services, a primary stroke center, comprehensive cancer care, inpatient rehabilitation and a birthing center. With the 2023 addition of a 225,000 square foot, five-story tower, nearly 80 percent of its 366 patient rooms are private.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision, retrieves soiled items, delivers sterile instruments and supplies to designated areas. Assembles OR case carts while maintaining quality standards, decontaminates instruments, assembles general instrument trays, sterilizes a variety of instruments and supplies.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- High school graduate or equivalent GED.
- Additional healthcare training or central service experience preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral/written instructions required.
- Successful completion of an on-the-job training of up to two months required.
