Department: Eastwood Behavioral-Southfield
CONTINGENT- approximately 20 hours per week- flexible scheduling with a minimum of 1 evening per week; Clinic is open Monday- Friday 9:00am-6:00pm- NO weekends or major holidays. No benefits are associated with this position
This is a pay per service position- 55% for Full Licensed; 50% for limited license.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provides behavioral health counseling services.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts patient assessments and establishes therapy treatment goals.
- Administers individual and group therapy. Maintains thorough and confidential records of observations.
- Evaluates progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
- Provides patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.
- Works directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborate care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED -
- Master's Degree with at least 3 years' experience in the field of counseling, social work or psychology
CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED
- One or more of the following required:
- Licensed Master Social Worker credentialed from the Michigan Board of Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
- Licensed Counselor credentialed from the Michigan Board of Counseling obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
- Licensed Psychologist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Psychology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
- Therapist specializing in Marriage & Family obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Any issuing authority accepted. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
- BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association accepted.
- Experience working with Children & Adolescents preferred
