Henry Ford Hospital - Jackson is seeking a full-time BE/BC Family Medicine Physician to join our established, robust reputable primary care practices in and around Jackson County.
We are part of the Henry Ford Health Systems (HFHS -Detroit Area). This partnership is exciting for Jackson's Henry Ford Facility and the community. The partnership with Henry Ford Health System and most recently with Michigan State University, has allowed an amazing amount of growth opportunity. A State of Art Simulation & Research Labs, a new Surgical Patient Tower that added 66 private rooms and implemented EPIC house wide (INPT & OUTPT).
We are about 77 miles SW from Detroit. Michigan, a beautiful State full of outdoor activities and proximity (55 minutes) to an international airport, Detroit Metro, a state of Top Ten Universities within 45 minutes of Jackson. Jackson County has very affordable living, several lakes, amazing and challenging golf courses, and several parks within the community. We are honored and delighted to report that Henry Ford Allegiance Health received an A rating (along with all hospitals within Henry Ford Health System). This ranks Henry Ford Health among the safest hospitals in the United States.
We are not your average "community hospital." We are a hidden gem of Jackson County and the only hospital in Jackson County, with the next smaller hospital being 20 miles north. We became a certified Trauma center in 2017 and are the only Level II trauma within a 40-mile radius between 94 and 127 HWY. In April 2015, we went live activating Trauma calls, with 24/7 coverage provided in-house with a physician and advanced practice professional.
In 2013 when we developed our own "community based GME Residency program" and today we have over 115 residents on site: specializing in General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Psych and Traditional Year. We are a dual accredited program and together, with Michigan State University. This opportunity is at Henry Ford Family Medicine -East Michigan Ave Clinic. Call averages 10-14 days annually, a fulltime opportunity, a competitive compensation package, including metric bonus, opportunities for leadership, CME, and moving expense.
Minimum requirements include U.S. BC/BE in Family Medicine, eligibility for an unrestricted Michigan medical license and a passion for helping make the community healthier.
