The Healthcare Information Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care by facilitating the flow of accurate and timely information throughout the healthcare system. Main Responsibilities
1. Gather and provide accurate and timely information to patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare providers regarding test requests, submission requirements, supplies, results, and the use of Laboratory Information Systems.
2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers through effective communication and service recovery concepts.
3. Coordinate expedited handling of routine and special test requests, including specimen processing, transportation, and reporting.
Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent required. Two to three years of clinical laboratory experience with a working knowledge of specimen collection, handling, preparation, and workflow is preferred.
