What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant Cardiology Days Full Time Wyandotte position at Henry Ford Health System?
Wonderful opportunity to help build knowledge and become comfortable managing cardiology patients!
- Will develop skills in reading ECGs, interpreting stress test results, managing all types of cardiac conditions and gain autonomy in helping run a busy cardiology practice.
- Cardiology experience required, able to see cardiology inpatient and outpatients.
- Will be responsible managing in patient rounding service, seeing outpatients on their own and coordination of care of patients jointly with attendings and be able to respond to nursing staff questions.
- Dedicated time to outpatient, flexibility is part of job. Working in collaboration is essential.
- Provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care. Takes patient history, performs physical examination, orders, and interprets tests, makes diagnoses, and institutes appropriate treatment programs.
- Works in collaboration with staff physicians, house officers, nurses, and other medical care team members to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently.
- Specific procedures are individually credentialed as indicated by training and experience.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Master's degree in nursing OR Bachelor's degree; completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program. Michigan state licensure and continued certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA).
- Previous APP or RN cardiology experience required.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Certified Nurse Practitioner. Licensed as a Registered Nurse OR Physician Assistant Michigan state licensure and continued certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA)
- Current BLS or ACLS as required.
- Current ATLS/PALS provider status as required by department.
