What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant Plastic Surgery Clinic Novi + Detroit Full Time Days position at Henry Ford Health System?
GENERAL SUMMARY:
- Monday-Friday position The largest area of need and greatest capacity is at our Columbus Clinic in Nove with 1-2 days at the Detroit clinic per week.
- The Specialty/Invasive Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The Specialty/Invasive NP will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination as a first line provider to patients and their families.
- Provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care. Works in collaboration with attending physicians, advanced practice providers, consultants, house officers, nurses, and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently.
- Specific procedures as per credentialing as indicated by training and experience
- APP will work independently and have some shared visits with the surgeon.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Master's degree in nursing. -OR- Requires a bachelor's degree; completion of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program; licensure as a Physician Assistant. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current certification as a Certified Nurse Practitioner. Current State license as a Registered Nurse -Or-- Physician Assistant.
