Shift : Monday through Sunday, 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM (Three 12 hour shifts weekly)
Rotating weekends and holidays
Midnight & Weekend Shift Premium Pay Eligible
GENERAL SUMMARY : Unit Description :
Henry Ford St John Hospital's 6 North Unit is a 36 bed Oncology unit specializing in GI, Surgical, Women's Health, Same Day Surgery, and Chemo Administration. Based on the acuity and complexity of the care we provide, we are able to form closeknit relationships with our patients throughout their cancer journey.
Our Registered Nurses have a typical patient ratio of 1 : 4, and will work with a daily team of Registered Nurses, Nursing Interns and Patient Care Techs. We welcome Registered Nurses of all education and experience levels, promote a team-oriented environment, and encourage our nurses to become experts in their field through continuous learning. - Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Implements and monitors patient care plans.
- Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.|
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.|
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.|
- Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
