HENRY FORD JACKSON HOSPITAL
The 420-bed Henry Ford Jackson Hospital is Magnet® designated and a Level II Trauma Center. Acute care services are complemented by more than 40 community-based ambulatory locations. The hospital's broad range of specialty services includes cardiac surgery and minimally invasive structural heart procedures, neurosurgery and advanced cancer care, as well as home health care and hospice services, and the Henry Ford Hospice Home, the only hospice residence in Jackson County.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under general supervision of department leadership, provides direction, guidance and day-to-day coordination of departmental activities, including administrative support as defined by department specific principal duties and responsibilities. Conducts audits of perioperative charges for Henry Ford Jackson Hospital. Defends charges (revenue) challenged by third-party insurance companies, ensures documented charges are correctly billed and are documented in EPIC. Proposes corrective action in charge capture problem areas. Participates in Clinical operational reviews.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required in order to compose and prepare a variety of confidential reports, tables, memorandum, etc.
- Charge audit experience strongly preferred.
- Two year (2) years of Epic Operating Room charge auditing. Knowledge of medical terminology
