GENERAL SUMMARY:
Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision. - Aid with movement and placement of patients. - Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living. - Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. - Document necessary records. - Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintains medical equipment.
Unit Description:
Henry Ford Providence Hospital, Novi Campus offers a comprehensive range of coordinated inpatient and outpatient orthopedic services. Ascension Providence Hospital, Novi Campus does approximately 1000 total joint replacement surgical procedures each year. Our Orthopedic Nurses serve as our experts in the care of these patients and are an integral part of our Joint Commission Total Joint Replacement program designation. The latest treatment approaches and state of the art techniques are being used. A focus on relationship-based care combined with advanced medical surgical nursing allows us to care for the changing needs of these patients throughout their stay. This unit also cares for medical/surgical patients as beds are available.
Shift: Days 7am-7:30pm
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREDLicensure / Certification / Registration:- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Nurse Aide credentialed from the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry preferred. Any issuing authority accepted.
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. - Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable. No additional preferences.
