What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacist - Discharge Pharmacy - Contingent position at Henry Ford Health System?
GENERAL SUMMARY: To review prescriptions for clarity, accuracy and appropriateness and to compound and dispense the medications and pharmaceutical supplies prescribed in accordance with standard operating procedures. Work in a specialty/ mail order fast paced, high-volume environment. Manage pharmacy operation during absence of supervisory personnel.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelors degree in Pharmacy. Registered Pharmacist, licensed in the State of Michigan with a Controlled Substance License. Ability to perform at a fast pace in a high production environment. Ability to verify an average of 250 prescriptions in an 8-hour shift.
