GENERAL SUMMARY:
Perform the duties of a staff pharmacist under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. - Under direct supervision, maintain proper narcotic documentation and ensure proper distribution of narcotic medications. - Under direct supervision, ensure appropriate selection of dosing, administering and monitoring of medication. - Dispense medications accurately for delivery to patient care areas. May compound medications. - Assist pharmacists with maintaining and monitoring patient profiles. Provide medication information and education to medical staff and patients.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- -OR- Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Registered Pharmacy Intern
- Pharmacist-Ed Ltd-5 preferred
