What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor - Infusion Services position at Henry Ford Health System?
GENERAL SUMMARY: The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor facilitates the operations of the designated Pharmacy Programs by providing direct oversight of pharmacy technician practice under the guidance of pharmacy management. Responsible for providing direct support to designated pharmacy operations through involvement/ownership in the planning, organization and implementation of workflows and process improvement initiatives. Will be directly responsible for providing oversight for pharmacy technicians practicing in the designated setting. Provides administrative support and direction when needed. Reports directly to the respective Pharmacy Manager and/or Pharmacy Director within the Pharmacy Enterprise.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High School diploma required. Associate degree preferred. At least three (3) years of pharmacy technician experience or the equivalent required. For Acute Care: One (1) year of acute care pharmacy technician leadership experience or the equivalent preferred. For Oncology & Infusion: One (1) year of infusion pharmacy technician leadership experience or the equivalent preferred. Exemplary oral and written communication skills required. Requires ability to use office productivity software effectively and the ability to create and effectively utilize Excel spreadsheets. Requires ability to effectively navigate through pharmacy technician related IT platforms, interpret reports, resolve identified errors, and disseminate solutions. Requires ability to problem-solve and proactively prevent pending problems or identify solutions to resolve existing problems independently.
