What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician Assistant Nurse Practitioner Emergency Medicine Afternoons Full Time Detroit position at Henry Ford Health System?
Exciting opportunity to join our busy Emergency Medicine Department. Hours are 2pm-12:30 am.
- The Specialty/Invasive Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
- The PA, NP will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination as a first line provider to patients and their families.
- Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care.
- Works in collaboration with attending physicians, advanced practice providers, consultants, house officers, nurses, and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently.
- Specific procedures as per credentialing as indicated by training and experience.
- Emergency Medicine experience required.
- EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree or Completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program or Masters degree in Nursing
- CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Requires Michigan state licensure and continued certification by the National. Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). OR Current certification as a Certified Nurse Practitioner. Current State license as a Registered Nurse.
- Current ACLS/BLS as required.
- Current ATLS/PALS provider status as required.
