What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician Assistant Nurse Practitioner Neurosurgery Full Time Rotating Shifts West Bloomfield position at Henry Ford Health System?
- The Specialty/Invasive Physician Assistant (PA) or Specialty/ Invasive Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
- The PA or NP will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination as a first line provider to patients and their families.
- Provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care. Works in collaboration with attending physicians, advanced practice providers, consultants, house officers, nurses, and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently.
- Specific procedures as per credentialing as indicated by training and experience.
- 2 years Neurosurgery experience required
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree or Completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program. OR Master's Degree in Nursing.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Requires Michigan state licensure and continued certification by the National. Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). OR Licensure as a Registered Nurse Licensure as Certified Nurse Practitioner
Current ACLS/BLS as required. Current ATLS/PALS provider status as required.
