$7,500 Sign on Bonus-- based on eligibility
Department: Respiratory Therapy
Shift: 7 PM - 7:30 AM - Rotating Weekends, Holidays & hard to Fill Days- Southfield, MI
GENERAL SUMMARY
- Provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.
- Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.
- Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition.
- Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.
- Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.
- Educate the patient and family about the health condition and provide information about community support groups and other available programs.
- Respond to emergency resuscitation team code.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Graduate of an Accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Respiratory Care obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association accepted. - Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred. - Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association
