What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse - Inpatient IV Services - Contingent / Varied position at Henry Ford Health System?
Under minimal supervision, executes physician orders for the insertion of PICC lines for patients within Henry Ford Health System. The PICC Nurse will practice within established standards demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills in the management of Intravenous Therapy, IV medication, and the management of central lines.
ABILITIES/ SKILLS:
1. Obtain and maintain PICC line insertion competencies.
2. Ability to manage patient receiving IV therapy - assessment, consults and referrals as necessary, wound and dressing care, administration of medications.
3. Skillful care, quality work in a timely fashion.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hire
- Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire
- Previous 1-2 years recent related clinical nursing experience and a demonstrated level of performance and practice required
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Current Licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
