What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor Research Operations: Cancer Clinical and Translational Research Offic position at Henry Ford Health System?
GENERAL SUMMARY:
- Reporting to a Department Leader, Group Practice Director, and/or Physician Leader, the individual in this role plays a crucial role in supporting research operations. Contributes significantly to the department's goals and assists in both short-term and long-term planning efforts.
- This position involves:
- Aiding in financial and operational planning, including budgeting and business plan analysis.
- Additionally, may serve as a representative for the Department, Specialty, or Business Unit in internal and external committees, while also participating in community outreach initiatives that represent Henry Ford Health.
- This position will focus on daily operations and may involve stepping in to provide coverage for staff when necessary.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Administration, Business, Bioscientific/Clinical/Functional area, or related field.
- Master's Degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- One (1) year of research or leadership experience.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Skilled in organizational attributes.
- Ability to communicate in writing and orally to support, direct, and work with employees, leadership, physicians, and various external audiences.
- Computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets knowledge.
