Job Title : Registered Nurse

Job Specialty : Emergency Department

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 1900-0730, Float position

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Experience : Minimum of 2 years recent and relevant experience in Emergency Department

License : Current licensure by the State Board of Nursing

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS

Must-Have :

Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans.
Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
Effective communication skills with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Job Description :

Provide leadership in coordinating and delivering quality and compassionate patient care.

Utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and family.

Effectively communicate pertinent patient / family information to the health care team.

Participate in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensure implementation of solutions.

Work in a float position, staffed every 4 hours, and may be assigned to Emergency Department or Emergency Department observation.

Handle a typical patient ratio with a maximum of 1 : 6 in a Level 3 trauma environment.

Preferred :

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)

Additional certifications like TNCC, ENPC or PALS, CPI
