Responsible for providing primary support to the Trauma Program Manager for data collection, abstraction and coding to ensure compliance with all rules and regulations for data capture and data entry for the Trauma Registry.

Licensure and Certification
- Certified Specialist in Trauma Registers (CSTR) preferred
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency
- Basic to Intermediate ICD-10 Coding Course
- Medical Terminology Class
- Trauma Registrar Course - completion within one year of hire
- Association of the Advancement of Automotive Medicine's Injury Scaling Course -
- completion within one year of hire
- At least 2 years experience in Medical Records, Nursing or a related field with strong medical terminology skills. Experience in Pre-hospital/Trauma Registry preferred

- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-10 coding
- Basic computer skills with knowledge of Word processing and Excel software use

- Continuous use of bilateral upper extremities in fine motor activities requiring fingering, grasping, and forward reaching between waist and chest level.

- Occasional/intermittent lifting and carrying objects/equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
