Job Summary
The Senior System Analyst understands and maintains the integration between multiple software applications across various disciplines be it clinical or financial based. They serve as a professional role model, mentor and resource for assigned staff members of the IS Team. Analyst may lead with the selection, implementation and support of applications needed. In addition, analyst may act as a liaison between departments in the evaluation and optimization of workflow processes, recommending areas where technology can contribute toward efficient and effectiveness. *Depending on needs of the department, can act on behalf of the supervisor in their absence.
Licensure and Certification:
- CPHIMSS/CAHIMSS Certification or other IT or Project Management related certification
Education:
- Required: AA/AS in Computer Science or business-related field
- Preferred: BA/BS in Computer Science or business-related field
- Equivalent experience may be substituted for education
Experience:
- Minimum three (3) years IS experience and installation with an understanding of the functions of a hospital, relationships among department, and overall understanding of the hospital institution
- Working experience with intermediate project management principles including directing the activities of other resources assigned to the project
- Clinical or Financial system implementation knowledge and experience
- Experienced in SQL, DB structure, Microsoft applications, file transfers and interfacing
- Education of customers in system concepts and operation
- Experience with Meditech Client Server and/or Kronos WFC Suite (Time Keeping, Advanced Scheduler, HR, Payroll)
Knowledge and Skills:
- Advanced troubleshooting, including areas with no previous experience
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Prioritize workload and meet deadlines
- Work cooperatively as a team member
- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Frequent sitting and standing/walking with frequent position change.
- Continuous use of bilateral upper extremities in fine motor activities requiring fingering, grasping, and forward reaching between waist and chest level.
- Occasional/intermittent reaching at or above shoulder level.
- Occasional/intermittent bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing/pulling, twisting, and climbing.
- Occasional/intermittent lifting and carrying objects/equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Continuous use of near vision, hearing and verbal communication skills in handling telephone calls, interacting with customers and co-workers and performing job duties.
