Pay Range: PI COORD, RN - $48.50 to $70.68
Job Summary:
The PI Coord, RN (Data Analyst/Registrar) is responsible for providing primary support to the Trauma Program Manager for collection, abstraction and coding to ensure compliance with all rules and regulations for data capture and data entry for the Trauma Registry; monitoring and analysis of data relating to the treatment and quality of care of all trauma patients; coordinating the daily quality and performance improvement needs to facilitate optimal outcomes and standard of care.
Licensure and Certification:
- Current California RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS provider cards
- TNCC or ATCN training/certifications preferred
- National or state certification in area of practice preferred, TCRN and/or CSTR
- Membership in professional organization preferred
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred
- Trauma Registrar Course – completion within one year of hire
- Association of the Advancement of Automotive Medicine’s Injury Scaling Course – completion within one year of hire
- Basic to Intermediate ICD-10 Coding Course
Experience:
- Three (3) years minimum nursing experience with knowledge of principles and practices of trauma patient care
- Experience in public speaking
- Experience in Trauma Registry preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Trauma nursing clinical knowledge pertaining to trauma patient care across the continuum
- Knowledge of trauma statistical reports, peer review and performance improvement an asset
- Experience in public speaking
- Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communications
- Demonstrated ability to lead and work as part of multiple teams and in diverse cultural community groups
- Ability to think proactively, act creatively, critical thinking skills, excellent interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of ICD-10 and AIS coding
