JOB OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible for the strategy and performance of Henry Schein One’s TechCentral business within a direct report and matrix organization. The HS One strategy is dependent on consistent growth in the TechCentral business. This role will guide TechCentral’s strategic vision with oversite from HS1 executive leadership and alignment with overall HS1 strategies, strategic priorities, and goals. The GM has P&L ownership and decision-making authority; including development and oversight of operational budgets, revenue growth, cost, and productivity performance, as well as ownership over the establishment of key metrics to drive decisions and track the business. The GM also provides oversight of solution visioning, roadmaps, and development. The role has direct reporting of customer service, implementations, training, and product management with other functions as dotted lined reports.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide leadership across the TechCentral business.
- Lead the overall TechCentral team in a matrix organization and is responsible for direct day-to-day direct management over customer service, implementation, training, and product management.
- Partner closely with other functional leaders that include the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Commercial Officer to shape the TechCentral portfolio of solutions to ensure customer acquisition, satisfaction, and retention.
- Identify and execute on joint opportunities and product bundling within Henry Schein One.
- Engage and execute against agreed upon joint targets within the overall Henry Schein One strategic priorities and goals.
- Meet with leadership team and Henry Schein One overall leadership to assess the direction of the business, develop short and long-term goals, plans, and strategies, and ensure TechCentral compliance with the stated mission - aligned with Henry Schein One strategic vision and priorities.
- Work closely with the CFO and finance team to analyze performance against budgets and financial reports regularly, as well as work with finance on monthly forecast, developing plans to achieve budget, mitigate against budget risk, increase revenues and profits and achievement against budget goals.
- Own and manage full P&L for TechCentral.
- Build expert-level understanding of the dental vertical and grow leadership position.
- Develop and manage operational budgets and perform cost and productivity analysis. Establish metrics for business to drive decisions.
- Understand and develop strategies and activities to grow client base in a profitable manner by expanding the sale of new units and identifying ways to improve client retention.
- Monitor, measure, and report on operational issues and opportunities across all functional teams.
- Collaborate with customers, industry organizations, executive management and other TSMs to progress solutions that solve dental IT needs.
- Monitor customers, markets, and competitor activity as data points to provide better solutions to customers.
- Establish pricing and work closely with marketing to drive marketing efforts.
- Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities.
- Work with HS1 leadership and functional leads to support and oversee operation of the business.
- Increase the performance of direct reports by assigning accountabilities, planning, monitoring, and appraising results while developing a climate for offering information exchange.
- Look for opportunities for partnerships, alliances, and acquisitions to increase market share and growth objectives.
- Look for new market opportunities within the overall dental IT market and work with HS1 product management and leadership to vet and drive new opportunities into the market.
- Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Required to be a visible leader with strategic orientation. Successful history of P&L ownership and execution, accountability, strategic planning, budget development, sales management, marketing, operations, and team development is primary.

- Experience managing and operating in a IT hardware, networking and managed services business required.
- Product management experience with a focus on hardware, networking, and managed services solutions.
- Experience managing or working closely with customer support teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 10 years demonstrated leadership experience growing revenue ($20M ) and profit for hardware IT or managed services business with technical product experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing or equivalent required; MBA or master’s degree or global equivalent a plus.
