What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Loader - PT - 4:30p-9:30p M-Th position at Henry Schein?
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Sorts freight appropriately before loading onto trucks for shipment. Reads shipping labels and manually separates customer shipments into five categories, according to delivery truck. Keeps up with fast-paced conveyor system. Builds skids as necessary. Disposes of empty boxes, packaging, and shipment material appropriately to maintain safe and clean working conditions. Other functions may also be added to responsibilities.
In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for:
- Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures including WorldWide Business Standards.
- Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Basic reading, writing, math and computer skills.
Ability to walk and stand for long periods on concrete, grasp, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Experience:
Knowledge of basic warehousing operations preferred.
Other:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or comparable work experience.
