Job Summary:
Henry-Stark Counties Special Education has classrooms in eight school districts. Possible job openings in Kewanee, Wethersfield, Galva, Stark, Geneseo, Atkinson (ExCEL School)

If you are 19 years of age or older and have at least 1 of the qualifying requirements below and can pass a background check, you will be able to apply for your paraprofessional license (estimated cost $195)
- At least 19 years of age
- 1 of the following:
- Associate’s degree or higher
- 60 semester hours of coursework
- High School Diploma or GED
Assists the teacher in general daily classroom activities. Helps students with instruction and cares for their physical and emotional health. Affirming their abilities, and striving to promote dignity in all relationships.

-Perform some record-keeping and data collection if necessary
-Basic clerical functions for supporting the teacher and maintaining student progress
-Monitor students in the classroom, playground, hall, lunch, and etc. As needed
-Communicate effectively verbal and written
-Maintain emotional control under stress
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.50 per hour
