Job Summary :

As the Associate Producer you will engage in a range of administrative and producorial duties related to Abrons Arts Center’s arts education program, which offers arts classes in dance, music, theater, and visual art at our facility through our Center Education program, in Henry Street Settlement programs and Lower East Side public schools through our Partnership program. This role requires advanced project management and administrative skills capabilities as well as producing experience for live performance, events, and exhibitions. You will report to the Producing Director and will collaborate with the arts education and production departments to execute arts education events.

You have :

Exhibited interest and experience in arts education programming

At least four years of demonstrated producorial experience for live events, educational workshops, or theater

Demonstrated teaching artist experience in an arts education setting inclusive of experience building and facilitating curriculum

Strong organizational skills

Positive and effective relationship management skills among teaching artist faculty, students, and families

High attention to detail

Confidence and high skill in establishing work priorities, managing timelines, coordinating multiple projects simultaneously, implementing, and meeting deadlines

Strong written communication and copy-editing skills

Strong oral communication skills

Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Zoom, and Submittable

You will assist in the production of Arts Education programming by :

Drafting and executing Letters of Agreement for teaching artist faculty and workshop facilitators

Coordinating community events, intergenerational workshops, performances, exhibitions, and end-of-semester showcass

Scheduling, attending, and maintaining notes for production meetings, technical rehearsals, and dress rehearsals

Maintaining production timelines for workshops, events, performances, and exhibitions

Processing honoraria, reimbursements, and any event-related logistics with the Finance department

Serving as liaison between arts education program and visitor experience department

Ensuring accuracy of education programming information, including dates and copy, in print, online, and in internal databases in partnership with the Marketing and Communications department

Essential Physical Job Functions :

Must be New York City based and be present on site 5 days a week.

Must be COVID-19 vaccinated

Must be able to move throughout our 40K square foot facility that includes stairs, ramps, indoor and outdoor spaces

Must be available on select weeknights and weekends in order to execute programming (to be arranged with advanced notice)

Must be able to lift 30 pounds
