What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tailor or Seamstress position at Henry & Y Couture?
We are a tailor shop in McLean, VA, creating custom garments and altering designer garments for both men and women.
We are seeking a seamstress or tailor capable of completing simple alterations such as shortening hems, sewing buttons, and replacing zippers. More skilled applicants will be capable of fixing shoulders and able to work with a variety of materials such as knits, silk, and wool.
- Must speak English or Korean
- At least 10 years of experience
- Must be able to work at our location in McLean, VA
- Wage will be determined by skill level
- Preliminary period of 1 week will be piece work (paid by garment completed), then hourly
- Hours of operation are 10am-6pm, Tues-Sat
- Expected to work at least 2-3 days a week
- No pick up work
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
