Position Description:
The Business Analyst – Market Intelligence Focus will play a crucial role in providing strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to support our enterprise business strategic planning efforts. This position requires a keen analytical business mind, strong research skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable strategies.
Compensation Range
$90,000-$105,000
Essential Duties:
• Interpret multiple data sources internally and externally available that are relevant to the business to provide key insights and business strategic viewpoints.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business Development, IT, Data Analytics, Project Management, and Finance, to provide insights that inform strategic decision-making.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and market metrics to track the effectiveness of business strategies.
• Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in the construction industry.
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative economic, demographic, and industry data to forecast market conditions and potential impacts to discover trends, patterns and valuable insights that could impact the company’s position.
• Interpret data to formulate actionable recommendations that support business strategies.
• Collaborate with the product marketing team to determine current business conditions and develop or refine marketing strategies.
• Develop and maintain a database of market intelligence reports, industry publications, and relevant data sources.
• Prepare and present detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies that may impact the construction sector.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, marketing, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience and/or a combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proven experience in market research, data analysis, or a similar role within the construction or related industry.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of the construction industry and its market dynamics.
• Experience with statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, PowerBI, SQL Databases and market intelligence platforms.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
