STAFF ACCOUNTANT

What You’ll Do

Provide language translation support from English to Japanese and vice versa as required to include company-wide translations.

Conduct month-end tasks under the tight deadlines of a three-day close.

Prepare all balance sheet account reconciliations including all activities in the AP and AR accounts. Find root cause for reconciliation differences and implement corrective action.

Analyze general ledger account variances from plan and trend as assigned by management. Provide explanations for each account and correcting journal entries where required.

Prepare the bank account reconciliation in detail for the main operating accounts. Identify the root cause of issues, prepare correcting journal entries and recommend countermeasures to prevent the same issues from recurring.

Prepare various accounting and governmental survey reports, maintain new vendor set up forms, key vendor information into the accounting system and scan and file documents in the electronic file storage system.

Maintain internal control process and prepare documents for internal audits

Collaborate with other accounting team members, other departments.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Must know and comply with the Komatsu Worldwide Code of Business Conduct, KAC Code of Conduct, Hensley Environmental Policies, Hensley Safety Policies and Hensley Quality Policies.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Advanced Japanese language skills – written and verbal

Knowledge of accounting processes familiarity with GAAP.

2-3 years of experience in an accounting environment. Manufacturing accounting experience is highly desirable but not required.

SAP or other major ERP experience is desirable

Proficiency with Office 365 software with strong aptitude for Excel.

Team player who will take initiative to assist with department needs.

Ability to multi-task and maintain deadlines. Attention to detail
