Currently, we are looking to add a Legal Assistant to our Claims Verification team to assist the Attorney to evaluate and develop less established pre-litigation cases. We have amazing training and support, so while legal experience is preferred, it is not required.
Here are some of the key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Be the voice and face of the firm, interacting with our clients and other parties daily.
- Serve as the client's primary point of contact.
- Collaborate with the Attorney to identify potential avenues to build out individual cases.
- Contact the authorities, medical facilities, and insurance companies to verify and collect needed information surrounding cases.
- Make regular status calls to the client with the goal of checking on their treatment status and/or updating them on the case.
- Ensure timely and appropriate progression of the client's case by setting deadline reminders, collecting the necessary evidence for the case, and collaborating with the appropriate team if a case is deemed appropriate to transfer.
- Notifying the attorney of any case-related developments or problems.
- Keeping detailed and accurate notes of all case-related interactions and tasks in the client management system.
