Currently, we are looking to add a Legal Assistant to our Personal Injury Litigation team. We have amazing training and support, so absolutely no legal experience is required.
Here are some of the key responsibilities:
- Work with third parties (medical providers, insurance providers, etc.) to obtain and save requested documents as directed.
- Documents included: medical and billing records, balances, Med Pay and health insurance ledgers, wage loss requests, police photos, invoices, Medicare Conditional Payment Letter (CPL), etc.
- Assist with a variety of administrative tasks, including drafting and sending routine correspondence, creating/updating medical binders, putting health insurance on notice, and more.
- Document all steps completed and information received per procedure.
- Communicate regularly, effectively, and professionally via email, written document, and telephone.
- Read, analyze, and organize technical communication and documents, understanding when you are required to act based on what you read.
- Keep track of a schedule and make sure project milestones are met on time.
- Juggle multiple projects without getting overwhelmed.
- Follow our processes, utilizing our checklists, Case Management Software, and other related computer programs.
- Learn, grow, and succeed in a high-performance, office environment where you work mostly (if not entirely) onsite.
- High School Diploma or GED.
