Raleigh, NC law firm, is seeking an experienced detail-oriented and motivated plaintiffs litigation paralegal to work in their personal injury division. Candidates should be dedicated and motivated self-starters with the ability to work independently or in a small team setting with a minimal amount of direct supervision.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys
- Drafting pleadings, affidavits, orders and other legal documents
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, experts, and attorneys to manage and adhere to deadlines
- Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and other relevant parties
- Communicate with court personnel, co-counsel and opposing counsel
- Schedule case events, including depositions, hearings and mediation and maintain legal calendars
- Gather information and materials for discovery and exhibits
- Adhere to professional standards as outlined by protocols, rules and regulations
Skills
- REQUIRED: 3 years experience as a Plaintiffs Litigation Paralegal (Litigation experience in personal injury preferred)
- REQUIRED: NC State Bar Board of Paralegal Certification
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, basic computer skills and legal case management software
- Ability to type at least 50 wpm
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
