- Review assigned local agencies' annual budgets, line-item interchanges, budget modifications, voucher claims, vacancy reports, and time study submissions
- Coordinate with fiscal management section to track submission and approval process for budget-related tasks
- Assist with completing fiscal portions of management evaluation documentation
- Assist local agencies in the submission of Remedy Force help desk tickets, ensuring inclusion of proper forms from the Women, Infants, and Children library
- Provide support to local agency staff in resolving technical issues with the management information system and share resources for guidance
- Respond to emails received in the shared mailbox and individual inbox
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of program policies and procedures
- Respond to participant questions and complaints promptly and professionally
- Participate and contribute to program and team meetings
- Complete mandatory annual trainings and professional development related to current and potential work assignments
- Maintain tracking systems to ensure local agency contract deliverables are documented and meet deadlines
- Provide technical assistance to Women, Infants, and Children local agency staff regarding fiscal and administrative requirements and the management information system
- Assist with miscellaneous projects, such as local agency site changes, moves, and closures
Desired Experience:
- Basic bookkeeping, accounting, and financial record keeping
- Computing, classifying, and recording numerical data
- Performing routine calculations, posting, and verification of financial data to maintain accounting records
- Verifying the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings of business transactions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software, including Outlook, Word, Teams, and Excel
- Previous experience working for a Federally-funded nutrition program (e.g., Women, Infants, and Children)
- Experience working in a government setting
- Familiarity with New York State systems and specific terminology
- Experience working in a fast-paced office setting, conducting a wide range of tasks to support program operations
