Key Responsibilities
- Execute purchasing transactions for materials and services on behalf of internal teams.
- Purchase non-complex materials and services, and handle orders based on existing master agreements.
- Complete change orders and amendments to outline agreements and purchase orders.
- Evaluate supplier liability and use the CLM system to verify agreements from vendors.
- Process purchase orders, support multiple lines of business, and contribute to various projects.
- Utilize EDI for purchase orders and Ariba/SAP (training provided) for issuing POs.
- Provide reports to support internal auditing, Sarbanes Oxley testing, and self-assessments.
- Complete new vendor request forms and ensure accurate supplier information.
- Assist clients and suppliers in resolving invoice issues, and provide support on the Procurement Helpdesk on a rotational basis.
- Support compliance with all procurement processes, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to policies.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related field.
- Familiarity with procurement tools such as PO, RFQ, and contract terms & conditions.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
- Proficient with procurement systems (Ariba, SAP, or similar; training will be provided).
- A college degree is preferred, but candidates with 5 years of relevant experience will also be considered.
- Previous exposure to material management processes.
- Knowledge of supplier sustainability and evaluation using tools like Dun & Bradstreet.
- Familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley testing and internal auditing processes.
- Utility industry experience is a plus.
