What are the responsibilities and job description for the Greeter position at HEPCO?
We are seeking a friendly and welcoming individual to join our client's team as a DMV Greeter. As a greeter, you will be the first point of contact for our valued customers, providing them with a positive experience as they visit our DMV office.
Your role will involve welcoming customers, assessing their reason for visit, and directing them to the appropriate office area for assistance.
In addition, you will maintain the front of the office, distribute pens and applications, and ensure that departing customers feel appreciated.
- Must be in good enough physical condition to withstand standing for 4 hours or more without a break (this is a standing position).
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with customers and staff.
- Friendly and welcoming attitude to create a positive environment for customers.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Job Duties :
- Welcome customers and provide a warm greeting upon their arrival.
- Assess the reason for each customer's visit to determine the appropriate course of action.
- Direct customers to the appropriate office area for further assistance, including restroom facilities.
- Maintain the front of the office, ensuring it remains neat and tidy.
- Notify staff when restrooms require attention or maintenance.
- Distribute pens and applications to customers as needed.
- Express gratitude to departing customers for their visit and assistance.
- Perform other similar duties as assigned by supervisors.
Additional Considerations :
- Prior DMV knowledge is not required, as specialized training will be provided upon placement.
- Greeters may encounter unhappy or dissatisfied customers, so the ability to remain tolerant while conveying an authoritative attitude is essential.
- Greeters must be able to identify when to refer particularly difficult customers to a supervisor.

Shift Days / Times : 7 : 30 am - 3 : 30pm / 30 minute unpaid lunch break or 9 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pm / 30 minute unpaid lunch break
