Her Nexx Chapter (HNC) is a 501(c)3 organization that provides an immersive virtual platform consisting of programs that connect, mentor and nurture women through their journey in life by providing access to certified life coaches, mentors and subject matter experts.
Her Nexx Chapter is looking for a Funding Development Assistant / Grant Writer to help prepare grant proposals and assist with performing research for available grants. This individual will learn how to develop HNC proposals and become familiarized with the organization’s programs, goals and financial needs. The individual in this role will also have the opportunity to be mentored by a professional Grant Writer as an added bonus while you are volunteering.
Requirements :
Must Reside in the United States.
Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, creative writing, or a related area.
Knowledge of proposal submissions and fundraising process
Ability to understand programs and organization funding requirements
Organization and time management skills are a must
Strong research skills and knowledge of information sources
Responsibilities :
Learn how to compile information needed in order to write an effective grant.
Compose a professional winning proposal.
Learn how to project manage the process and understand the guidelines and deadlines required for corporate, state and federal grants.
Work with cross teams on upcoming and pending projects.
