What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pastry Cook position at Her Place?
Looking for an am pastry pro to join our small team!!!
this is an am position that would overlap with some savory prep as well and can be quite flexible in timing.
nice and positive people only, savory experience a big plus! Candidate must be flexible and able to adapt to a small space and constant menu changes (it’s fun we swear)!
responsibilities include:
- Prepping and making our daily dessert and backup dessert
- setting up PM team to execute said dessert plan
- sourdough cookies and giveaways
- bread and dough work (sourdough, focaccia, brioche, yeasted doughs, crackers, choux)
- savory prep overlap —putting on and straining stocks, savory doughs, savory prep that makes sense in AM
- menu development for our ever evolving menu
- receiving orders and putting them away
this can be a full time or part time position, looking for 4 days a week Mon-Thursday ideally with hours beginning early am and done by 3pm
