Title: Community Engagement Coordinator (CEC)
The CEC reports to: The National Engagement Manager
Region: NE Florida ( Jacksonville area )
In Office Hours: 3 days working at home and 2 day in the office on average. Most days will be spent meeting out in the community with stakeholders.
Working Relationships: Includes, but not limited to, other CECs in Her Songs cities, National Operations Director, National Residential Manager – South, Marketing and Communications Coordinator and Manager
Job Brief: The Community Engagement Coordinator (CEC) is a classic relationship builder and fundraiser, poised in communication public speaking and presentations, is skilled in cultivating partnerships with the community, the church, and local and national businesses, and able to build community collaborations. The CEC will be responsible for forging relationships with key stakeholders to meet a full spectrum of needs including finances, volunteers, health services, education services, and community support for all programming.
Responsibilities:
Community Engagement:
- Build a strategy around relationships with a local network of donors, churches, and volunteers to focus on continuing to build support increasing each year.
- Establish connections with local influencers and donors to form a base of giving to directly support the Jacksonville regional residential annual budget
- Create a network of contacts at local churches willing to strategically partner to support the mission
- Develop community relationships to form a reliable base of volunteerism to support network to assist with awareness and strategic partnerships to advance the mission of Her Song and the Tim Tebow Foundation
- Represent Her Song through public speaking and presentation engagements within the community from donor dinners to large events
- Build relationships with local businesses and relevant partners in order to resource survivor care
- Seek opportunities to leverage new and existing partnerships to expand the mission of the organization
Residential Collaboration:
- Collaborates with Regional Residential Team on overall needs, engaging in team dynamics, offers extra support and participating in weekly and monthly meeting rhythms.
- Works alongside Residential Team to meet needs during program growth and expansion
Analysis & Planning:
- Tracks budgets, metrics, in-kind reporting, and monthly expenses.
- Responsible for creating and executing a fundraising strategy based on short- and long-term goals.
Marketing & Communication:
- Help manage and maintain local social media presence via LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram
- Support Her Song Marketing team in national fundraising initiatives that are executed at a local level.
Volunteer Development:
- Work with the Regional Residential Team to engage volunteers, hosting trainings throughout the year based on residential needs.
- Regularly collaborate on the volunteer needs of the program to create a rhythm of volunteer participation from established networks
- Screen and vet all volunteer applicants
- Host onsite volunteer workdays
- Manage volunteer scheduling and communications as liaison to residential staff
Other Areas of Responsibility:
- Support the TTF team at events to represent Her Song as a ministry of TTF by communicating what Her Song does and how we connect into the greater impact of TTF
- Ability to work as a team both locally and nationally to move the fundraising efforts of the organization forward
- Any other tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with business focus or equal experience preferred
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience fund raising
- Proven track record of raising funds for a non-profit into the hundreds of thousands.
- Competency in donor relations, public relations
- Strong logistic and administrative skills
- Public speaking and boardroom experience
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Proficient computer skills
- Ability to self-start, work independently and multi-task
- Flexibility to adapt to a changing work environment
- Relatable to diverse groups of people, exercising emotional intelligence
- Excellent technology skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office
